Okay. That's it. I've already submitted my resignation letter to my supervisor. My last day would be on 04 March 2005. This will give me enough time to rest and enjoy my short ( abt 1 week) vacation with my family. We're even planning to go to Cebu (along with my wife's parents) on 11 March for the birthday celebration of my wife's nephew.

2 years with my current employer was indeed fruitful. I learned a lot about our client and basically the travel industry. And I would be able to use the skills I acquired towards my new venture.

Most importantly, for those 2 short years, I gained new friends.

Now the countdown begins.....

"Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises. "

It's done. I have already signed my employment contract with my new employer yesterday. It was good that they allowed me to start with my training by mid-march. This will give me enough time to render my 30-day notice to my current employer at the same time it will give me about a week to rest before I start my new job.

Honestly, it was not an easy decision and took a lot of consideration. If it was just for personal reason, I would have stayed at my present job. But at this stage in my life, this major change would help me move towards my and my family's goals in life. This one step that I will be taking might be a small one but it is definitely a step forward...And that is essential. And at this point in our lives, we are actually heading towards the right direction...

Its also ironic that today is my batch's 2nd year anniversary with my current employer.

"Any change, even a change for the better,
is always accompanied by drawbacks and discomforts."
-Arnold Bennett

I just got a tempting job offer from one of the biggest Banking companies in the world last friday. And to tell you the truth, the offer was enticing. The pay will be good. Plus, workload may not be too heavy. And I'm 90% sure that I'll be considering their offer.

The bad side is, I will be starting from scratch again. I'll be a newbie again learning a new skill. I'll be adapting to a new environment and deal with different sets of people. And of course, there will be some risks involved. Since I've been with my present employer for almost 2 years now, I'll be gambling that stability to something new and not yet explored. Also, by July 2005, the company will be moving to a new building in Alabang. This means I'll be away from most of my loved ones...especially my family in QC. Though I've been to Alabang lots of times before...Its different when I'll be assigned there permanently.

Change is naturally not a bad thing. Change on the positive side is a door for more opportunities. And change is necessary to improve and grow especially that my wife and I have plans of migrating to Canada...

I just hope I'm making a good decision...

"The most important work you and I will ever do will be within the wall of our own homes."
Harold B. LeeUS Mormon clergyman (1899 - 1973)

Starting tonight, my wife and my baby daughter moved back to our own home. This will be the start of our lives as a family...OUR OWN FAMILY. Things will be much tougher compared to when my wife and I were the only persons there. Starting tonight, things will be different...And I mean REALLY different. This time, my wife and I will share our home with our baby daughter. This means MORE responsibilities...But we are ready for it...I AM ready for it ever since I got married.

Everything that we do from now on makes a big impact on our lives....
