Taken while aboard a fastcraft towards Bohol

A lot of unfortunate things happened to me these past few months...I didn't get the position I applied for a couple of months ago...Work was beginning to be a burden...Though I was doing a great job with my tasks with my team, I only got an "Acceptable" performance rating...And recently, my family and I had experienced a car accident which was mostly my fault...These and a lot more were things that I hope to forget someday...

However, they say that life has its ups and downs...and I thank God that the ups exceeded the downs...

>>>Though I didn't get the position I applied for, I was "promoted" last 05 June and I don't take calls anymore. Instead I was tasked to join "Academy" and supervise people coming out of training to prepare them for the "Live" operations floor. ANAKIN FLOORWALKER is BACK! I'm just waiting for about 4 more months and tons of accreditations before I become a Performance Coach.

>>>Though I didn't get the position I applied for, I somehow got a commendation because the task that was assigned to me before (which was Quality monitoring for the team) was noticed because my work was the only one that was 100% calibrated. As a result, I would occasionally join Calibration Meetings with Team Leads and Managers.

>>>Though I didn't get the position I applied for, the Quality task in "Academy" was assigned to me and I had to create trend analysis for each batch of trainees. My work was noticed by a Training Quality Manager and she encouraged me to join the Training Department (which I don't think I'm geared for). As a result, The TQM relayed the message that starting this Monday, I would be joining their Alignment Meetings with the Team Leads, Managers, and the AVPs.

>>>Last Thursday, I got my "promotion" letter and got a "little" salary raise and was promoted to a level a "little" bit higher than what I was before. Well, A RAISE is STILL A RAISE...Better than nothing...

>>>Though I didn't get the position I applied for, the Quality Team has been very supportive in my development and has been assisting me with the Quality "stuff"---'Coz, this is the first time that I was doing tasks associated with Quality and I don't even have the slightest knowledge about it when I started doing it.

>>>Financially, I'm glad that we are actually better than what we've expected to be in. Our personal loans with Citibank are over and done with, my credit card has been paid in full and had just recently closed it, my wife paid her credit card in full as well and is just paying her "pseudo-loan" with Citibank credit card.

>>>Zia's growing so fast and has learned to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and completely recites the Alphabet on her own. Zia discovered a lot of words on her own and has started to say things in complete sentences (ex: "Kain na tayo?", "Baba na ako?", "Punta na tayo SM?", etc.) Though she's also learning to be a brat, she's as adorable as always.

>>>And after 6 months of waiting, we finally had our short vacation to Cebu and Bohol.

...These are some of the highlights of my our experiences these past few months...Though there have been a few setbacks, I am so grateful to God, our families (the Rocas and especially the Arrezas including yaya Rita), friends, co-workers, and strangers we met along the way, for the support and the inspiration that they've given us as we struggled on our "little" journey...Thank you so much...

...I know the road ahead is still long and the travel will still be full of bumps...I still have the faith that we will reach our destination some day..
