Training Day: Day 2
Training day.
Everyone's so tense about what will happen for the next 2 months. Sabi kasi ng mga na-una na tranche sobrang hirap daw. Dami na nga bumagsak a pinauwi na.
Our 1st day was our Induction raining. Our trainer was Rose(who's from Thailand). She's been with the training department for just over 2 months and we were her 1st induction training class. And it showed as she struggled a bit on how she would handle the class. But she was able to deal with the day with ease.
Good news: I got my Relocation allowance ahead of schedule (it was supposed to be give on the 25th Oct)
Bad News: My name on the cheque was spelled wrong. So I had to surrender my cheque and I hope to receive it early next week. AAargh!!!
Our 2nd day was the start of the process training. This time, our trainer was Elsie. Actually, ok sya. She was very open and accomodating. She was also fond of making small jokes(even green ones) and laughing. That really helped as it lessened the stress that everyone was feeling. Though we had nose-bleed with the "tons" of topics that we've discussed(various types of Savings account), I was able to learn a lot about the bank's saving products. What I intend to do is not to memorize the topics, but to understand and know where to find it in the intranet. Hopefully, I get to pass all the exams and the mock calls.

Sabi ni Ivan(1 of my tranchemates) sa akin, "Para ka nasa Manila ah?!" Why? Its because I was bumping into a lot friends at work. Most of my previous collegues from PeopleSupport are actually working in the same building (just 1 floor above our office).

Yesterday morning was my daughter's Birthday party at school. Its soo sad that I was not able to experience it in person. But my wifey was able to upload some of the pics at her multiply site. You can view the pics here.
I still miss my 2 girls.

This is it pansit!!
This is it. The long wait is over. Starting tomorow I will be quite busy as I will start my training with my new work. Based on the advise of people already working there as well as a few of my friends, they said that training will be difficult and tough. but I do not need to worry as I know that I will be able to surpass it. You know why? Because my motivation comes from HIM as well as my 2 ladies (which I miss sooo much). I know it will be a tough month or two, but I know I will be able to succeed.
To make it all official. I was able to collect my work pass this morning at Tanjong Pagar. This means, I am now a full-pledge worker in SG. Also, I got a new simple cellphone from Singtel. Phone is free. No cashout. And monthly rate would only be 20SG$ (it was suppose to be 25SG$ but DBS had a corporate rate with Singtel) Plus, I got a 50SG$ voucher which I can use in any Singtel store. I'd probably let May use it when she arrives next month.
Lastly, to almost perfectly end my day, Wifey sent a text confirming that she had already received her EPEC pass. YEHEY!!! Finally, I can't wait for you to come here in SG.

One Rainy Sunday in SG
Got up at around 8am to get ready to go to church. However, it was raining outside. Its my first time to experience rain in SG. And it felt soo good that i went back to bed. Bad! Bad!
However, I was still able to go to church. The pic below is the Church of the Holy family down at Chapel rd (the actual area I'm not familiar..sorry).
During the way home, some of my dormmates wanted to go to Suntec City. So we got off at Bugis station and walked all the way to the mall (about 15min walk). I was fortunate to not have any spending capabilities as almost all products at the mall were on sale.
- Nike 80% off (a black Lebron rubber shoes was priced at around 2400Kpesos)
- Lacoste shoes for ladies was at around 900pesos.
I saw this cute little sandals that I wanted to buy for Ziapot. The tempting price was 9.90$SG or about 297pesos. Again, I was able to resist the dark force and hope to buy the pair some other day.
And to make the day complete of surprises, of all places, I met one of my previous collegue from my old work at PeopleSupport - Nicky. He was here with some friends for vacation and I told him I was here for work.
The rest of the day was spent malling and I went home at about 6pm(the sun was still brightly shining). That's it for my 6th day in SG.

Day 5 - National Library SG
The place was huge! Di ko nga alam kung san ako magsisimula. There's a large children's area which Zia will truly enjoy once she gets here..hopefully soon...B! pwede tyo tambay dito minsan. You'll definitely enjoy here...
Since we only had about an hour before the place closes (it closes at 9pm), we decided to stay in the general library area at the basement. We'll schedule another tour some other time.
We decided to take the bus home. This time, we knew which bus number to take. At our area, we decided to stroll at the park for a few minutes. (nasalubong nga namin dami pinoy na naglalakad din).
Thats it for the day. Tomorrow's (later..its currently 1250am) a new day. I will go to a church near Khatib to hear mass..Will keep u guys posted.

Goodbyes
Goodbyes
Goodbyes are sad things. You leave behind dreams that you've worked hard to make real, friends that you have sufered to love, and sometimes a quiet security that was buil with half a lifetime.
On the road, and in life everywhere, you move along and leave your efforts behind you in the dust, knowing deep inside, that you will never find them exactly the same again. But there's little use in trying to avoid the loneliness and anxiety that go with you when you move on...for tha is life...and IT IS A CERTAINTY.
The road teaches you to accept goodbyes as part of saying hello to the things that are newer and often better. It teaches you also that what was loved and what was learned in the past can never be lost.
On the road, you spent much time wondering, learning, and sometimes remembering. It teaches us that part of growing up is getting ready to share the responsibility of the world. And to accomplish this, we must have hope based on a clear idea of what the world and life has to offer. Probably the most difficult lesson the road teaches us is that life is often less, sometimes more, but almost always different from what you thought it was before when you tppk a first hand look at it...
To my friends...
and MOST especially my 2 girls in my life..
